Sudan and Japan Discuss Health Cooperation

Khartoum - (SUNA) The Minister of Health, Bahar Idris Abu Garda, and the Ambassador of Japan to Khartoum Monday discussed the joint cooperation concerning the issues of health such as decreasing of mothers and children mortality rates and the training medical and health cadres in Sudan.
The Minister appreciated in his meeting at his office with the Ambassador of Japan to Khartoum firmness of the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the medical and health fields, top of this is the Japanese support and assistance in decreasing the mothers and children mortalities and the support of JICA Organization to Sudan in different health projects at center and states.
The ambassador referred to Japanese support in sector of strengthening local health system and basic health care with Federal Health Ministry, promising for more cooperation in these sectors and training medical cadres.
