Agreement between Khartoum and EU Companies to Implement Towns Development Projects

Khartoum- A number of companies operating in towns’ services in the European Union’s countries have expressed desire to resume their activities in Sudan and Khartoum State as Khartoum Locality has announced reaching joint understandings with major companies in Germany and the Netherlands in the fields of reorganization, development and beautification of towns.
Commissioner of Khartoum Locality 1st. Lt. Gen. Ahmed Ali Osman said following his visits to Germany and the Netherlands that they agreed with German S+L Company for supply of a modern factory for cement and concrete products to be used in water drainage, roads, public gardens besides other development projects.
The Commissioner indicated that agreement was also reached with the Netherlands’ VDL Company according to which a delegation of experts from the company would visit Khartoum next October to conduct studies for projects in the fields of rainwater drainage, rehabilitation of roads, public transport and garbage recycling centers.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Khartoum Locality pointed out that he held talks in Germany with the official of the African department at the African-German Society, who promised that a high-level delegation of members of the society and German businessmen would visit Khartoum early next year to discuss means of boosting joint cooperation.
