President Al-Bashir Lauds Japan Support to Sudan in Number of Fields

Khartoum, Aug. 27 - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has lauded the continuous support of Japan to Sudan in the health, water, agriculture and training fields.
During his meeting Monday at the Republican Palace with the visiting former Japanese Foreign Minister and President of the African Association for Economy and Development, Senator Tetsoro Yatu, President Al-Bashir said that Sudan looks forward to benefit from the Japanese experiences and technology in different domains.
He pointed out that Sudan also looks forward for Japan support to the peace process in Darfur and the efforts to surpass the impacts of war, especially at the areas of the refugees’ repatriation.
President Al-Bashir affirmed that the peace realized in South Sudan State necessitates support of the international community, indicating that Japan could play a role in South Sudan, through its support to Africa,  and can contribute to the development of the border area between Sudan and South Sudan.
Meanwhile, Senator Tetsoro Yatu has affirmed Japan welcome to the great efforts being exerted by President Al-Bashir for achievement of peace in the Republic of South Sudan, expressing his pleasure that he is visiting Sudan following success of Sudan government efforts for the signing of a peace agreement between the South Sudanese parties.
He affirmed the readiness of Japan to cooperate with Sudan in a number of fields, referring to the visits that he paid to a number of health institutions in Khartoum to get informed on their needs, especially in the maternal health field and support to the proposed Liver Centre at Ibn Sina Hospital
