Khartoum Calls for Supporting Developing Countries to Achieve SDGs

Khartoum - (Agencies) Foreign Minister Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed called, in his speech before the UN General Assembly, called for the elimination of manifestations of racism and anti-migrants, promoting the values of equality and safeguarding human rights and supporting developing countries to achieve sustainable development goals.
In Sudan statement before the assembly, Al-Dirdiri hailed the Republic of South Africa and affirmed Sudan's commitment to the noble values for which Mandela fought, recalling his country's standing with Mandela's struggles and support for him and all national liberation movements in the 1960s.
The Sudanese minister held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of his counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries. He also participated in a number of meetings, and met with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, where they discussed arrangements for the Arab Ministerial Meeting to be held in New York, where Aboul Gheit pointed out the absence of any differences on the items raised, praising Sudan's efforts in bringing peace in South Sudan and neighboring countries and the region.
