Government Reveals Understandings with the International Community to Exempt Sudan's Debts

Khartoum - (SMC) The government has revealed understandings with the international community to exempt Sudan's external debt, indicating that it requested the assistance of the IMF and the World Bank to reach the exemption in accordance with the initiative of "HIPC".
Minister of Information, Government Spokesman, Bushara Juma  Aror said that Sudan has met all the technical requirements for debt relief after its economic reforms and its success in achieving peace in South Sudan and its initiative to achieve stability in Central Africa Republic, pointing out that the international community affirmed that Sudan has made efforts to fulfill the conditions of debt relief, expecting to hold a round table to discuss debt relief with the participation of officials from the State of South Sudan through the zero agreement between Khartoum and Juba, adding, "You will hear good news on the exemption of Sudan's debt."
