National Audit Chamber is the First in the Fight against Corruption

SUNA- Khartoum – The delegation of the National Audit Chamber, which participated in the International Seminar on Integrity and Combating Corruption, won the first place among 55 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa and South America through the “Entry Test”, as well as the first place in the evaluation following the seminar held in the Hungarian capital Budapest recently.
The seminar reviewed the efforts of countries in the fight against corruption, where the General Auditor of the Republic of Sudan, Al-Tahir Abdul Qayoum presented the experience of the chamber in partnership with the National Assembly, Presidency, judiciary and the anti-corruption unit, in promoting integrity and combating corruption, explaining Sudan’s ratification of the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the adoption of the Anti- Corruption Commision law, noting that the amendment of the law of the National Audit Chamber granted it powers that promoting its independence, tacking the self-assessment workshop on integrity carried out by the chamber, under which the integrity unit in the chamber was established.
